gbi is on the lookout for a dedicated Field Oversight and Computer-Aided Design Specialist to join our Infrastructure team in Quebec. The ideal candidate will engage in a variety of projects serving both public and private sectors. Those with expertise in both field oversight and CAD may have the chance to alternate between these critical functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising construction activities, landscaping, and subsurface infrastructure initiatives;
- Ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications;
- Upholding environmental regulations;
- Reviewing and validating project documentation;
- Coordinating laboratory testing and approvals;
- Preparing daily activity reports;
- Documenting any project deficiencies;
- Conducting measurements and progress assessments;
- Managing project modifications and obtaining necessary approvals.
Requirements:
- DEC in Civil Engineering or a related field;
- A minimum of 10 years of pertinent experience;
- Training in field oversight within Civil Engineering (Infrastructure/Civil);
- Familiarity with municipal specifications and operational procedures;
- Understanding of MTQ and BNQ standards;
- Possession of an ASP Construction Card;
- Fluency in French (both spoken and written);
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle;
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions;
- Capability to work extended hours on-site.
