Position Overview:

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at McMaster University is seeking a qualified Academic Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist Physician. This full-time role is situated within the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine, which provides advanced care for maternal and fetal health.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage in clinical practice alongside a team of 10 Maternal Fetal Medicine subspecialists.
  • Contribute to research initiatives focused on maternal health, dedicating at least two days a week to research, education, and administrative responsibilities.
  • Participate in teaching activities for medical students, residents, and Clinical Fellows.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess certification (or eligibility for certification) from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) in Ontario. The academic rank will align with the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Compensation:

The salary structure includes fee-for-service activities, point-based compensation for educational and research contributions, and a stipend for research efforts. This position also offers access to clinical faculty group benefits and various learning resources.
