Network Security QA Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Network Security QA Engineer to join our team at TEEMA - Litchfield Park. This 9-month contract position focuses on quality assurance testing within the network security sector, particularly involving the configuration and adjustment of network devices like switches and routers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform QA testing on network security products, including configuring and testing network and switch devices.
  • Develop, design, and maintain both manual and automated testing suites.
  • Carry out comprehensive testing, including end-to-end, integration, and defect testing.
  • Identify and report software defects to improve product reliability and performance.
  • Work closely with product teams, developers, and other QA professionals to ensure thorough testing processes.
  • Convert system specifications into test cases and maintain accurate documentation.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on network and endpoint security.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and networking protocols such as DNS, SMTP, SNMP, DHCP, and 802.1x.
  • Experience with network security products, including firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and SIEM.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux, Python, SQL, and database management; familiarity with Java is a bonus.
  • Experience with network devices from Cisco, Juniper, or HPE is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills for software and network issues.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, and KVM is recommended.
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
