Parts Specialist

Dawson International Truck Centres is seeking a skilled Parts Specialist to efficiently match customer needs with available inventory, fostering strong customer relationships through excellent service.
In this role, you will be a valued member of Dawson International Truck Centres, working in a permanent, full-time position, reporting to the Territory Manager, Fixed Operations. This role is responsible for assisting customers and technicians in obtaining required parts and supplies, as well as assisting with parts inventory control and the inventory cycle count process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sell products and/or services to repair the problem and meet the customer's needs
- Maintain customer goodwill by professionally greeting all customers
- Assist in handling customer complaints and concerns and ensure the problem is corrected to the customer and dealership's satisfaction
- Pull parts orders from inventory and assist shop techs with parts requirements in a timely manner
- Assist the Parts Manager in organizing and recording parts inventory and year-end reports as needed
- Follow prescribed cash, credit, and cheque processing procedures of the dealership
- Process cores, warranties, and new return merchandise as required at a point of sale
- Follow up on shortages and expedite by reporting to the Parts Manager/Supervisor
- Perform day-to-day tasks such as stocking shelves, general cleaning, etc.
- Ship and receive parts when required
Requirements:
- Minimum two (2) years' experience in a related industry
- Parts Person Red Seal an asset
- An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
