Accounting Associate – Keethanow Gas Bar

The Lac La Ronge Indian Band's Keethanow Group of Businesses is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Full-Time position at the Keethanow Gas Bar:
FINANCE CLERK
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Systematically organize and maintain all relevant documentation (Purchase Orders, Vendor files, etc.).
- Prepare and manage the general ledger, including posting journal entries and maintaining trial balances.
- Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and conduct bank reconciliations.
- Issue invoices to clients and address any inquiries.
- Execute monthly accounts payable processing, reporting, and quality assurance activities.
- Perform clerical tasks, including maintaining filing and record systems.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
- Foster positive public relations on behalf of the Keethanow Group of Businesses.
- Adhere to the Personnel Policy Manual of the Keethanow Group of Businesses.
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Completion of High School/Grade 12 or GED; a college diploma in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is advantageous.
- 1-2 years of experience in the finance sector.
- Familiarity with accounting and reporting systems.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Advanced skills in SAGE accounting software and spreadsheet applications are preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Able to cultivate and maintain productive relationships with other departments and key stakeholders.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office productivity suite.
- Knowledge of office equipment, including photocopiers, telephone systems, email, and fax machines.
- Must be bondable.
- Punctual, honest, and dependable.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Effective time management skills.
- Must provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check.
