The Lac La Ronge Indian Band's Keethanow Group of Businesses is currently seeking applications for a Full-Time position at the Keethanow Gas Bar:
FINANCE CLERK
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Organizing and maintaining the filing system for all relevant documents (Purchase Orders, Vendor files, etc.).
- Preparing the general ledger and posting journal entries along with trial balances.
- Managing both accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and conducting bank reconciliations.
- Invoicing clients and addressing inquiries as needed.
- Conducting monthly accounts payable processing, reporting, and quality assurance activities.
- Performing clerical tasks, including maintaining filing and record systems.
- Carrying out additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
- Upholding positive public relations on behalf of the Keethanow Group of Businesses.
- Adhering to the policies outlined in the Keethanow Group of Businesses Personnel Policy Manual.
Qualifications:
- Completion of High School/Grade 12 or GED; a college diploma in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is an asset.
- 1-2 years of experience in the finance sector.
- Familiarity with accounting and reporting systems.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Advanced skills in SAGE accounting software and spreadsheet applications are advantageous.
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy are essential.
- Able to foster and maintain strong relationships with other departments and key stakeholders.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office productivity suite.
- Experience with office equipment such as photocopiers, telephone systems, email, and fax machines.
- Must be bondable.
- Punctuality, honesty, and reliability are required.
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License is necessary.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Effective time management skills are essential.
- Must be able to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check.
