About the Role
As a Regional Director, you will take charge of the overall expansion and enhancement of NFP's Commercial Property & Casualty operations in Southwestern Ontario. Your role will be pivotal in nurturing and promoting our robust sales culture while managing a diverse team across various locations to achieve profitable growth. Key to your success will be the implementation of revenue-generating strategies, the recruitment and onboarding of top-tier talent, relationship management, and performance oversight. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be tasked with fostering organic growth in the region, particularly through integrated selling, ensuring that production teams comprehend and effectively execute our essential growth strategies. We seek a leader capable of articulating our value proposition and leveraging our training resources to cultivate strong and effective teams.
What You'll Do
- Oversee a team of insurance professionals to drive revenue growth across Southwestern Ontario.
- Promote the NFP brand and devise strategies to enhance awareness of NFP's extensive range of solutions, including individual and corporate offerings within local communities.
- Collaborate with Line of Business Leaders to facilitate organic growth and integrated selling initiatives throughout the region, including:
- Advance NFP Canada Sales Culture to align all business line producers in surpassing sales targets and enhancing integrated sales.
- Encourage a competitive yet collaborative team atmosphere.
- Establish a recruitment process to identify, train, develop, and onboard new sales talent.
- Continuously refine business plans, enhance the cross-sell playbook, and conduct book reviews to identify opportunities for organic growth.
- Develop and implement processes to support sales efforts (e.g., regular sales meetings, regional strategy summits, cross-specialty training, etc.).
- Work closely with line of business leaders to formulate national and regional business plans that meet and exceed sales objectives.
- Set sales targets, monitor performance against these goals, and foster accountability within the Production Team.
- Collaborate with NFP specialists and marketing teams to create materials that advance sales and promote the integrated selling initiative.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, advanced sales/marketing concepts, and company offerings.
- Identify potential strategic partners, alliances, and relationships to broaden core product lines and services.
- Work with subject matter experts and industry practices to pinpoint cross-sell opportunities within existing business and new industries/segments.
- Identify opportunities to collaborate with sales and marketing to engage clients and prospects.
- Plan and execute strategic growth initiatives.
What You Bring
- 10+ years of experience in Commercial Risk with a focus on sales and/or business development.
- In-depth knowledge of risk, industry trends, carrier products, and services.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities as a business development executive within the insurance brokerage sector.
- Active participation in industry and/or community activities.
- Strong technical sales skills with a proven track record of business development.
- Documented history of revenue growth to meet benchmarks and company objectives.
- Ability to establish a strong communication link and credibility with client management teams through professionalism, ethics, integrity, mutual respect, and a value-added approach.
- Articulate, quick-thinking, and possessing excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, adaptable to various internal and external decision-makers.
- Proven initiative, leadership, problem-solving, and adaptability.
- Recognized as a team player with the independence of thought to provide candid and honest input in key business decisions.
