About the Role

The Department of Medicine at the University of Ottawa and The Ottawa Hospital is seeking an Endocrinologist to join our team. As a clinical and academic endocrinologist, you will be responsible for managing outpatients with adrenal and pituitary disorders, as well as diabetes and other endocrine disorders.

Responsibilities
  • Manage outpatients with adrenal and pituitary disorders, diabetes, and other endocrine disorders
  • Participate in the Endocrinology inpatient consultation service and on-call coverage
  • Participate in the pituitary and general endocrinology and/or diabetes clinics at our Endocrine and Diabetes Centre
  • Rotate on the Endocrinology inpatient consultation service
  • Participate in the Endocrinology and Metabolism on-call rotation
  • Teach fellows, residents, and medical students
Qualifications
  • Endocrinologist with a clinical and academic focus in pituitary and adrenal disorders
  • Fellowship training in relevant areas
  • Masters or PhD in relevant area of research (advantageous)
  • Licensed or eligible to practice medicine in Ontario
  • Certification in Endocrinology and Metabolism by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
  • Member of or eligible for membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association
