Restaurant Manager Job Description

Sushi Wara is seeking a skilled Restaurant Manager to lead our team and drive business success. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a high level of food quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze financial data to optimize restaurant profitability and make informed decisions about menu pricing, inventory management, and labor costs.
  • Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to increase customer engagement and drive sales.
  • Lead a team of servers, hosts/hostesses, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Monitor and control food costs, inventory levels, and waste management to minimize losses and maximize profitability.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to design and implement new menu items, promotions, and specials that meet customer demands and drive sales.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, liquor laws, and other relevant standards to maintain a safe and responsible work environment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders to secure the best possible deals and services.
  • Conduct regular staff training and performance evaluations to ensure team members are equipped to deliver exceptional customer service and meet business objectives.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in a restaurant management role, preferably in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Proven track record of success in driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and reducing costs.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed business decisions.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
