Framatome is seeking a highly skilled Principal Radiochemist/Scientist to join our team in Pickering or Kincardine, Ontario. As a key member of our Chemistry & Specialty Technology Business Line, you will play a crucial role in advancing medical isotope technology and process.

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned radiochemist with a strong background in radioisotope production, target chemistry, separation chemistry, characterization, and synthesis for radiolabeled compounds/radiopharmaceuticals. Your expertise will be instrumental in collaborating with subject matter experts to develop and improve medical isotope technology and process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement radiochemical separations and manufacturing methods in hot cells
  • Collaborate with experts on target design and implementation of manufacturing methods
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of medical isotope technology and process
  • Work closely with the Chemistry & Specialty Technology Business Line team to achieve business objectives
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong theoretical knowledge and practical skills/experience in radioisotope production, target chemistry, separation chemistry, characterization, and synthesis for radiolabeled compounds/radiopharmaceuticals
  • Strong knowledge of analytical methods and software
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to business objectives
