About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Medical Attendant to join our team at the Northeast Addition and Mental Health Centre for Holistic Recovery. As a Medical Attendant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Medical Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that medical equipment is properly cleaned, sterilized, and assembled to maintain a safe and healthy environment for our patients.
  • Provide Personal Care: Assist patients with bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as performing other personal care tasks as needed.
  • Transport Patients: Safely transport patients between care facilities, using wheelchairs or stretchers as necessary.
  • Deliver Messages and Reports: Effectively communicate with other departments to ensure that patients receive the care they need.
  • Maintain a Clean and Safe Environment: Make beds, maintain patient rooms, and ensure that all areas are clean and free of clutter.
  • Supervise Exercise Routines: Assist patients with exercise routines and provide guidance on proper techniques.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of supplies and ensure that all necessary equipment is available.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's Licence: A valid driver's licence is required for this role.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail is essential for this role, as you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and ensuring that patients receive the care they need.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong communication skills are necessary for this role, as you will be working with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Flexibility: A flexible and adaptable approach is essential for this role, as you will be working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
