Position Overview:

The Race and Group Coordination Specialist plays a crucial role in the effective management of group activities and the race program. Reporting directly to the Groups and Race Centre Coordinator, this position serves as a vital link between the organization and various groups, including educational institutions, corporate clients, and Indigenous communities.

Compensation:
$21.85 per hour

Physical Requirements:
Light to moderate physical activity, both indoors and outdoors. Duties may include responsibilities on the mountain race course.
This position necessitates physical presence at the designated location.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will work closely with the Groups and Race Centre Coordinator. Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating ticket arrangements with race teams and ensuring timely delivery to accommodations.
  • Assisting teams with any last-minute modifications to their tickets or lanes.
  • Facilitating the arrival of school and corporate groups at the resort, ensuring a seamless experience from arrival to on-snow coordination.
  • Maintaining strong working relationships with various departments, including Guest Services, Patrol, Sports School, Rentals, Food & Beverage, and Lift Operations.
  • Collaborating with hotel accommodations regarding group bookings.
  • Possessing comprehensive knowledge of resort offerings, including lodging, dining, mountain activities, and third-party services.
  • Inputting group and race centre bookings into the POS system and managing invoicing prior to group arrivals.
  • Standard working hours are from 7:45 am to 4:30 pm, with early starts required on occasion.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Must be available to start at the beginning of the winter season.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and motivational abilities.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including POS systems and Microsoft applications.
  • Excellent cash handling and sales transaction reconciliation skills.
  • Outstanding communication capabilities.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accurate.
  • Proven experience in guest service and teamwork.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with current WorkSafe BC standards is advantageous.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in RTP.

Incentive Information:
