Drafting Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Drafting Technician to join our team at XYZ Contractor. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for preparing engineering designs and drawings, developing and preparing design sketches, and preparing construction specifications, costs, and material estimates.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Drawing Preparation: Prepare engineering designs and drawings, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Design Sketch Development: Develop and prepare design sketches to visualize and communicate design concepts.
- Construction Specifications: Prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Contract and Tender Preparation: Prepare contracts and tenders to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Technical Reporting: Write technical reports to document project progress and outcomes.
- Specification Writing: Write specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Cost Estimation: Estimate costs and materials to ensure accurate project budgeting.
- Documentation and Drawing Sets: Complete documentation packages and drawing sets to facilitate project handover.
- Education: College/CEGEP degree in a relevant field.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Language: English language proficiency.
- Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
