Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at William Osler Health System. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the examination and analysis of biological samples.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accession and process biological specimens, including grossing, embedding, and sectioning
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including microtomes and IHC stainers
  • Correlate cut slides to tissue blocks and perform quality control checks
  • Assist with MLA duties and maintain accurate records
Requirements:
  • Medical laboratory technologist with CSMLS certification
  • Minimum five years recent experience in general histology in a hospital setting
  • Immunohistochemistry experience is preferred
  • Current registration with CMLTO in good standing
  • Ability to distinguish colors and work with surgical and autopsy specimens
  • Strong medical terminology, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team
