About the Role:

Farm Credit Canada is seeking a skilled Agricultural Finance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with local producers, managing a loan portfolio, and working with experienced lenders to tailor financing packages to meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with customers to build financing packages that meet their business needs, including both lending and non-lending products.
  • Build relationships with Farm Credit Canada customers and internal partners to drive business growth.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the loan portfolio and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
  • Travel to visit customers on their farms or in their offices to build strong relationships and understand their business needs.
  • Analyze customer financial information to inform lending decisions and identify potential opportunities.
  • Create, process, and approve new credit facilities to support customer growth and development.

Requirements:

  • Confident communicator with strong analytical skills and the ability to connect with customers and internal partners.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships, with a focus on sales and negotiation skills combined with sound judgment.
  • Self-starter who is comfortable with change and can adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Degree in agriculture, business, or commerce, with at least one year of related ag finance or sales experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Valid driver's license and a passion for agriculture.
