About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronic Trading Development Analyst to join our team at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA. As a key member of our electronic trading team, you will be responsible for developing and supporting software applications for price/inventory publication, inquiry management, and straight-through processing of electronic trades.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in object-oriented programming, with expertise in.Net C# and multithreaded application development. Experience with messaging technologies, programming design patterns, and source control tools such as Git is also highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain software applications for electronic trading, including client and server-side development
  • Work closely with business analysts and the support team to ensure timely delivery and high-quality results
  • Collaborate with senior developers to propose designs and implement projects
  • Estimate effort and ensure timely delivery, following agile and continuous delivery methodologies
  • Ensure code is well-tested and release management/change management processes are followed
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd-level support for electronic trading applications
  • Assist the support team in the rollout of releases and provide clear, consistent reports to clients and management
  • Collaborate with other teams, including networking, systems, quality insurance, support, architects, and other development teams
  • Participate in the development of new features and enhancements, relying on IT best practices to improve quality of development
  • Manage several streams of work concurrently and contribute to the growth and success of the global team
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related subject
  • Strong technical skills in.Net C# and object-oriented programming
  • Experience with messaging technologies, programming design patterns, and source control tools such as Git
  • Knowledge of Fixed Income Products, such as Bonds and IRS, is a plus
  • Knowledge of Electronic trading, including dealer-to-client and inter-dealer trading, is a plus
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, analytical skills, and a dynamic, detail-oriented approach
