Aircraft Interior Certification Specialist

Job Summary:
The Flammability Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the certification of aircraft interior components at Safran Cabin. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and collaborating with the engineering design team throughout the product development process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviews technical specifications, including delivery matrices, customer finish specifications, and general arrangement engineering drawings, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participates in design reviews, providing expertise on potential problematic material combinations and proposing methods for showing compliance.
- Prepares flammability substantiation documents, such as test plans and reports, to demonstrate compliance with applicable regulations.
- Conducts peer reviews of test plans and reports to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Collaborates with mechanical design, program managers, and production managers to coordinate assigned projects.
- Develops a general understanding of testing protocols used in the flammability lab for certification of products referenced in assigned test plans and/or reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, or material engineering, or equivalent training.
- Familiarity with 14 CFR 25.853/14 CFR regulations and Policy statement PS-ANM R2 is an asset.
- Minimum 1-5 years of experience.
- Proficiency in Windows Operating System, Office XP, and Access, as well as Auto CAD Lite, Catia, and Smarteam would be an asset.
- Detailed-oriented and accurate, with the ability to communicate in French and English.
