Job Summary:

We are seeking a Part Time Gas Bar Attendant to join our team at Federated Co-operatives Limited. As a Part Time Gas Bar Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting customers with their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers and sharing product knowledge to ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Housekeeping: Perform interior and exterior housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment for customers and employees.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in ordering, receiving, and displaying products as directed by the C-Store Manager to ensure accurate inventory levels.
  • Opening and Closing Procedures: Execute opening and closing procedures as instructed to ensure a smooth transition between shifts.
  • Price Files: Maintain C-Store price files to ensure accurate pricing and promotions.
  • Fuel Dispensing: Dispense gasoline, diesel fuel, and propane to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintenance: Clean and maintain various machines such as slush, hot dog, and coffee machines to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Front End Maintenance: Ensure a clean, neat, and well-merchandised front end to create a positive shopping experience for customers.
  • Point of Sale Operations: Operate point of sale terminal to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Equipment Safety: Operate and maintain equipment safely to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Loss Prevention: Assist in loss prevention efforts to protect company assets and prevent theft.
  • Environmental Checks: Conduct daily environmental checks when needed to ensure a safe and clean environment.
  • Company Policies: Adhere to company policies and procedures to ensure compliance and maintain a positive work environment.

Requirements:

  • Availability: Flexible availability for varied shifts to meet business needs.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient computer skills to operate point of sale terminal and other equipment.
  • Personality: Friendly and outgoing personality to provide excellent customer service.
  • Aptitude: Aptitude for working with the public to provide a positive shopping experience.
  • Lifting: Ability to lift heavy objects to perform housekeeping and inventory tasks.
  • Outdoor Work: Comfortable working outdoors to perform tasks such as fuel dispensing and environmental checks.
  • Pre-Employment Testing: Compliance with pre-employment testing per company policy to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
