Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver exceptional information, assistance, and service to both internal and external stakeholders, fostering a positive experience that aligns with customer expectations.
2. Maintain reliability for all scheduled shifts, approaching work with a constructive and professional demeanor.
3. Oversee the upkeep of in-store promotional materials and product labels.
4. Support the completion and reconciliation of daily financial transactions as needed.
5. Accurately document the receipt of goods in the inventory system and possess familiarity with various point-of-sale systems utilized within the organization.
6. Ensure that master files for Agro, Petroleum, and hardware are consistently updated and organized in accordance with company protocols; manage customer and vendor records effectively.
7. Collaborate with the accounting team to facilitate inventory assessments.
8. Execute end-of-day, end-of-month, and end-of-year processes along with other file management tasks.
9. Assist in the management and disposal of records in compliance with regulatory retention policies.
10. Operate the point-of-sale system as required.
11. Familiarize oneself with and adhere to company policies and procedures.
12. Comply with organizational loss prevention, security, and safety protocols.
13. Primarily support Agro locations in all duties.
14. Maintain a tidy, organized, and well-presented sales area at all times.
15. Participate in general inventory tasks, including receiving and pricing products.
16. Ensure accurate cash handling and proper procedures for cheque and credit card transactions.
17. Conduct inventory counts as necessary.
18. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
A solid background in the agricultural sector. Availability to work various shifts. Proficient computer skills. A friendly and approachable personality. A commitment to engaging with the public. Physically capable of lifting, climbing, and kneeling, with the ability to handle weights up to 50 pounds. At least two years of experience with computer systems in a professional environment; database knowledge is essential. A valid Class 5 or higher driver's license is required, along with a clean driving record. Forklift experience is beneficial, but training will be provided. Eagerness to enhance skills through training opportunities. Must successfully complete pre-employment assessments in accordance with company policies. Reports to: Controller
