Morrison Hershfield, a leading engineering consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Building Envelope Consultant to join our team in Calgary. As a key member of our Building Specialty Services division, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality services related to building envelope and building science.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform forensic engineering investigations to identify and resolve building envelope issues
- Design and implement building envelope solutions, including window and cladding replacements, roofing repairs, and below-grade waterproofing
- Conduct construction engineering services, including permitting, contract administration, and quality assurance field services
- Provide design review and assistance services to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
- Perform facilities assessments, including technical audits, due diligence assessments, and building condition assessments
- Civil or Mechanical Engineering degree from an accredited university or College level diploma in an engineering program
- Pursuing registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Professional Licensee (P.L.Eng.) is a plus
- Minimum 8 years of experience in building science/building envelope related design and construction consulting
- Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
