Position Job Title: Career Program Assistant

Location: Vancouver, BC (Hybrid)

Reports To : Associate Director, Career Development Centre

Application Requirement: Cover Letter

Primary Purpose

The Career Program Assistant provides operational and administrative support to the Career Development Centre team, performing a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the program. This role involves maintaining program reports and documents, acting as the main contact person during team members' absences, and assisting with information management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date program reports and documents.
  • Provides exceptional customer service as the main contact person during team members' absences.
  • Assists with information management, including data entry and document preparation.
  • Develops and maintains an efficient filing system for the team.
  • Coordinates logistics for workshops and events, including room booking and organization.
  • Assists with the coordination of the graduate practicum program and other work-integrated learning programming.
  • Provides administrative support to the team, including preparing documents and presentations.
  • Coordinates the proofreading and editing of documents as required.
  • Enters program-related information and generates reports as required.
  • Assists with the coordination of regular team meetings and other meetings as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field.
  • One to three years of experience in education or a related field in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft applications.
