Job Opportunity

The University of Regina is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented graduate research assistant to support the Centre for Socially Engaged Theatre (C-SET). The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of C-SET, Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, to conduct research and assist with various projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct a comprehensive literature review on socially engaged theatre and associated topics, as well as projects across Canada and internationally.
  • Collect and analyze data, utilizing expertise in videography, including capturing, editing, and rendering.
  • Attend project meetings and contribute to the development of final video cuts.

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate student in the Faculty of Media, Art and Performance's Interdisciplinary Graduate Program (IDP) in Media and Artist Research at the University of Regina.
  • Have a strong research and writing background, with qualitative research experience being an asset.
  • Possess practical experience in socially engaged theatre/performance and media production.
  • Be comfortable working virtually and on online platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
