Wood Processing Equipment Operator
We are looking for a dedicated Wood Processing Equipment Operator to become a vital part of our production team. In this role, you will manage the manufacturing process of wood wafers by utilizing machinery such as the Waferizer and Debarker.
Key Responsibilities:
- Control the speed of logs on the conveyor and slice logs into wafers
- Collaborate with fellow operators to ensure seamless operations
- Support equipment upkeep and troubleshooting efforts
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and equipment
- Provide training to new team members on machinery operation
- Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of equipment
- Generate reports on production metrics and analysis
- Adhere to safety regulations and standards
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience in operating cranes
- Proven track record of good attendance and performance
- Strong manual dexterity and visual acuity
- Ability to handle sharp tools safely
- Capacity to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
Work Environment:
- Exposure to varying weather conditions
Compensation:
$24.77 per hour
