Primary Care Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Primary Care Assistant to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our interprofessional team, you will provide operational and administrative support in a clinic and/or community setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to Primary Care providers and the Interprofessional Team (IPT) in the delivery of safe, efficient, and quality Primary Care Services.
- Assist with operational tasks, such as scheduling, data entry, and record-keeping.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Work collaboratively with the IPT to achieve team goals and objectives.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services.
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Graduation from an Office Assistant Course from an accredited Community College plus two years recent, related experience in a healthcare setting.
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Ability to type 40 WPM.
- Proficiency in computer word processing, spreadsheet applications, and specialized clinical information systems.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
