Job Title: Injection Moulding Set-up Operator

Groupe DSD Inc is seeking a skilled Injection Moulding Set-up Operator to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to operate and maintain our injection moulding equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating moulding machines, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring high-quality production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate moulding machines to produce high-quality plastic products
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with equipment and production processes
  • Weigh and mix resins, colorants, and other chemicals according to formulae
  • Monitor and inspect the quality of material produced
  • Unload mixture into containers or conveyors for further processing
  • Adjust calender rollers for production line changes
  • Set up and operate extruding machines to extrude plastic compounds
  • Change dies on extruding machines according to production line changes
  • Prepare and change moulds and adjust equipment for production line changes
  • Follow formulation cards to mix resin batches for injection moulding processes
  • Trim and sand plastic or fiberglass parts
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and handle heavy loads
