As a Finance Associate at MUFG Investor Services, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall financial operations of the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain Financial Records: Oversee comprehensive bookkeeping tasks, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and verified.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies.
- Accounting Software Utilization: Employ advanced accounting software on a daily basis to execute financial tasks efficiently.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts and prepare working papers to support the creation of monthly and annual financial statements.
- Payment Processing: Manage the preparation of payments and verify supporting documentation to ensure compliance with approval processes.
- Accounts Payable Management: Ensure timely processing of accounts payable, including utilities, taxes, and employee expense claims.
- Client Invoicing: Oversee the creation of client invoices and credit memos, resolving any discrepancies promptly.
- Data Maintenance: Maintain and update client and fund data within the system, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Client Agreements: Review and maintain client agreements to ensure they are up-to-date.
- Cash Receipts Processing: Process daily bank cash receipts and allocate them to the appropriate invoices.
- Revenue Reporting: Provide detailed variance analysis on monthly revenue reports and prepare Accounts Receivable Aging reports for management review.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Client Operations team to address billing queries and aged receivables.
- Tax Support: Assist in providing documentation for tax specialists and prepare necessary tax returns.
- Additional Responsibilities: Engage in various tasks including vendor liaison, process documentation maintenance, adherence to internal controls, and support for audit queries.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting-related position.
- Proficient in managing complex spreadsheets.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced work environment and tight deadlines.
