Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance services on heavy equipment
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions in construction equipment
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems on trucks and trailers
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that the work done meets manufacturers' specifications and legislated regulations
  • Complete service repair orders and bill out all parts used on repair orders
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area

Requirements:

  • Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Previous experience with off-road equipment
  • Basic computer literacy with willingness to learn new skills
  • Knowledge and experience to comprehend a variety of situations to identify underlying causes to solve technical issues
  • Self-motivation with excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multitask
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, and on-call after hours as required
