We are a boutique specialty food store that carries a variety of hot and chilled beverages, fresh baked goods, specialty grocery items, and various prepared foods. Our goal is to build a reputation for exceptional quality over quantity, and we are looking for experienced professionals to help us achieve this.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Baker to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience and require little direction. They will have the ability to:

  • Provide support to the Executive Chef
  • Keep the bakery department in clean, proper running order
  • Self-manage quantity control (i.e. ingredients required, production during busier times of the week/year)
  • Work efficiently, strong multi-tasking skills
  • Prepare everyday bakery items, as well as last-minute special orders on demand
  • Willingness to bring creativity and new ideas to the menu
Responsibilities and Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of baked goods
  • Maintaining a clean and organized bakery department
  • Managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed
  • Preparing and baking a variety of breads, pastries, and other baked goods
  • Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive customer experience
Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience as a Baker
  • A high degree of professionalism
  • The ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced bakery environment, with regular exposure to heat, noise, and physical activity. They will be required to wear a uniform and follow all health and safety protocols.
