About the Role

The London District Catholic School Board is seeking a qualified French as a Second Language (FSL) Teacher to join our team at Monsignor Morrison Catholic Elementary School in St. Thomas. This is a permanent assignment opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach French as a Second Language to students at Monsignor Morrison Catholic Elementary School
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly

Requirements
  • Bachelor of Education Degree and good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
  • Qualifications appropriate to the position
  • Previous elementary teaching experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of the Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations, Ethical Standards for the Teaching Profession, and the Standards of Practice for the Teaching Profession
  • Practicing Catholic with an active Catholic Faith life
  • Proficient knowledge and understanding of Ontario curriculum, evaluation, and assessment techniques
  • Current understanding of research, integrating technology, and best instructional practices
  • Effective classroom management skills and ability to create a welcoming and safe Catholic learning environment
