French Language Instructor Wanted

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced French language instructor to join our team at Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. as a part-time French language tutor/coach.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a French language enthusiast to share their passion for the language and culture with students of all ages and skill levels. As a French language instructor, you will be responsible for teaching French language classes to small groups of students, providing individualized instruction and support, and helping students develop their language skills in a fun and engaging way.

Responsibilities
  • Teach French language classes to small groups of students
  • Provide individualized instruction and support to students
  • Help students develop their language skills in a fun and engaging way
  • Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
  • Filling in post-lesson notes
  • Completing daily student communication updates
  • Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
  • Teaching certification an asset
  • Good knowledge of the current Grades 3 to 12 French core curriculum
  • Some experience teaching/tutoring French at a Grade 3 to 12 (or equivalent) level
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills
  • Strong French skills and ability to guide students' understanding
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
