Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to oversee all aspects of utility construction projects from initiation to completion. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of project management principles, construction techniques, and electrical network regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and execute utility construction projects in accordance with client specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of the project lifecycle, including procurement, subcontractor management, quality control, and safety compliance.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure on-time and within-budget completion.
  • Ensure adherence to as-built documentation processes, including red-lining drawings to accurately reflect completed work.
  • Prepare comprehensive project reports and documentation for client submittal.
  • Manage contract closure activities, including invoice processing, insurance verification, and resolution of any outstanding issues.
  • Document lessons learned from each project to enhance future project performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or Business with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in utility construction project management.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, EIT, or P.Eng are highly desirable.

Skills and Abilities

  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and principles.
  • In-depth understanding of utility construction techniques and electrical network regulations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 is an asset.
