Position Overview

This role involves supporting the upkeep of client landscapes, primarily during the summer months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform essential landscape upkeep, including the operation and maintenance of riding mowers and tractor mowing equipment, as well as trimming and pruning as necessary.
  • Ensure cleanliness in assigned areas through litter control.
  • Conduct basic maintenance and repairs on mowing machinery and attachments.
  • Carry out routine maintenance on small gas-powered tools, including changing air filters, blades, and cleaning carburetors.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to interpret plans, material lists, and guidelines while adhering to deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid G Driver's license is preferred but not mandatory (or the ability to obtain it) to qualify for winter contracts.
  • A clean driving record is necessary for operating company vehicles.
  • At least one year of relevant experience is preferred, though not essential.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Work may occur near high-traffic roadways.
  • Must be capable of lifting and/or moving items weighing up to 60 lbs.
  • Availability for emergency response duties, including overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays, is required.
