Road Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Road Maintenance Technician to join our Infrastructure Management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our road infrastructure assets, ensuring they are safe and functional for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on roadways, bridges, and other infrastructure assets.
- Set up and remove traffic control devices, including cones, message boards, and temporary signage.
- Repair and maintain bridge structures, including railings, expansion joints, and painting.
- Operate heavy equipment, such as large trucks and specialized motor vehicles, to transport crew and equipment to work sites.
- Perform litter and debris removal, and maintain clean appearance of highways and medians.
- Repair and maintain slopes, berms, culverts, drains, and other infrastructure assets.
- Control vegetation growth and appearance through lawn mowing and other methods.
- Repair and maintain signs, guardrails, fences, and lighting.
- Transport crew and equipment to work sites, and participate in emergency response rotations as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of work experience in infrastructure maintenance and repair preferred.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
- Class DZ/AZ driver's license and OTM Book 7 highly desirable.
The employee will be regularly exposed to traffic and outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. The employee will occasionally be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high precarious places, fume or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
The employee will be required to stand, sit, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. The employee will be required to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and use manual and powered pneumatic, hydraulic, gas, and electric powered tools and equipment.
The employee will be required to pass a fit test for a respirator as required and work at heights and in confined spaces.
