Job Title: Packaging and Product Labeling Designer

We are seeking a talented Packaging and Product Labeling Designer to join our team at PML Sound International. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating innovative packaging and labeling solutions for our consumer electronics products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop packaging and labeling concepts for consumer electronics products.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and marketing teams to ensure packaging meets brand standards, product specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on packaging trends, consumer preferences, and regulatory changes.
  • Ensure packaging designs comply with industry regulations and standards, including local and global safety regulations, labeling requirements, and translation needs.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure design feasibility, regulatory compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Review and approve final production samples before mass production.
  • Lead our internal product packaging approval process by proposing and implementing changes and enhancements.
  • Maintain organized files and records of all packaging and labeling designs.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in packaging and product labeling design, preferably in the consumer electronics industry.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and other design software.
  • Strong understanding of branding, color theory, typography, and print production processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry regulations and standards for packaging and labeling, including safety and compliance requirements across different markets.
  • Experience with managing translations and ensuring multilingual compliance on packaging.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Familiarity with sustainable packaging practices and materials.
  • Knowledge of user-centered design principles.
  • Experience with regulatory bodies such as the EU CE Marking, UL, TUV, and other international standards organizations.
