ROLE OVERVIEW

The Senior Data Scientist will play a pivotal role in advancing Artificial Intelligence-driven sensing technologies tailored for the food and agriculture industry. This position demands immediate engagement in the creation and deployment of AI Platforms that leverage a variety of machine learning techniques. The role encompasses the development of sophisticated algorithms, including but not limited to artificial neural networks, deep learning, self-learning systems, and support vector machines, tailored for diverse client applications. Additionally, the Senior Data Scientist should possess a strong understanding of data processing techniques, such as image analysis, signal processing, and pattern recognition.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to the evolution of Savormetrics' AI Platform.
  • Lead the design and implementation of machine learning algorithms, focusing on artificial neural networks, deep learning, self-learning, and SVMs for various client needs.
  • Engage in the development of feature engineering methodologies.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of analytical software solutions for clients.
  • Support the design and execution of data collection and interpretation software solutions.
  • Comprehend overall client product requirements and their implications for AI training and predictive modeling.
  • Utilize research and client datasets to innovate algorithms that enhance accuracy and efficiency for hardware solutions.
  • Organize, manage, and analyze extensive datasets for research and product innovation.
  • Ensure optimal software platforms are integrated with hardware to meet client specifications.
  • Rapidly acquire advanced domain knowledge of targeted business sectors.
  • Design, execute, and report on commercial testing initiatives.
  • Provide support in the organization and participation in workshops, conferences, and other collaborative events with stakeholders.
  • Offer second-line support for client inquiries.
  • Collaborate effectively with all team members.
  • Fulfill additional work-related responsibilities as assigned.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience in machine learning, artificial neural networks, deep learning, statistical learning, pattern recognition, and image processing for data extraction and interpretation.
  • Proficiency in image processing techniques.
  • Experience with software and hardware integration is advantageous.
  • Background in optics or scientific instrumentation is a plus.
