As a Manager of Integrated Construction Technology in our Montreal office, you will play a pivotal role in our operations:
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the accurate construction and review of virtual models based on plans, specifications, and elevations.
- Oversee the allocation of integrated construction resources at the district level and spearhead departmental process enhancements.
- Collaborate with estimating teams to establish and manage staffing resources and budgets for upcoming projects.
- Engage in project interviews and proposal development concerning virtual design construction (VDC) and other integrated technologies.
- Disseminate best practices across various projects and districts, facilitating knowledge sharing.
- Lead the setup, management, and optimization of digital workflows.
- Supervise the coordination and management of trade detailing and design deliverables across multiple projects.
- Act as a liaison between design teams and construction teams.
- During the pursuit phase, collaborate with project teams to evaluate and recommend scopes for VDC tools and processes, allocating resources accordingly.
- Participate in defining design deliverables and trade detailing requirements.
- Contribute to project pursuits and proposals, including narrative and presentation material development.
- Draft VDC and ICT contract language, ensuring its integration into design or subcontract agreements, and develop a BIM (Building Information Model) execution plan.
- Bachelor's degree, diploma, or a 2-year certificate in a construction-related field (e.g., architecture, engineering, construction management).
- 11 to 15 years of experience in the construction industry, including 5 to 6 years focused on virtual design and construction.
- In-depth understanding of construction sequences.
- Proven experience in implementing construction technology effectively.
- Ability to create model management procedures.
- Advanced knowledge of the building construction process and the various components involved at each construction stage.
- Expertise in overseeing and ensuring the quality of virtual construction models from design and trade partners.
- Familiarity with trade detailing and design workflows.
- Proficient in interpreting and understanding 2D and 3D construction drawings and specifications, translating them into comprehensive 3D/4D Building Information Models.
- Advanced training in 3D modeling software.
- Experience with 4D scheduling software and planning tools.
