Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement virtual design and construction strategies to improve project delivery and efficiency.
  • Manage integrated construction resource allocation and lead department process improvement activities.
  • Liaise with estimating to establish and manage staffing resources and budgets for new pursuits and projects.
  • Participate in project interviews and proposal writing, focusing on virtual design construction and integrated technologies.
  • Communicate best practices across projects and districts, facilitating knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Lead the setup, management, and best practices of digital workflows, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Oversee the coordination and management of trade detailing and design deliverables across multiple projects.
  • Liaise between design teams and construction teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and recommend scopes for VDC tools and processes, allocating VDC resources accordingly.
  • Participate in scoping design deliverables and trade detailing requirements, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Contribute to the pursuit and proposal of projects, developing narrative and presentation materials, and delivering presentations.
  • Draft VDC and ICT contract language, ensuring it is incorporated into design or subcontract agreements, and develop BIM execution plans.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, diploma, or 2-year certificate in a buildings-industry related discipline.
  • 11 to 15 years of construction-related industry experience, including 5 to 6 years of virtual Design and Construction related experience.
  • Expert understanding of construction sequences and advanced knowledge of construction technology.
  • Ability to develop model management procedures and oversee the quality of virtual construction models.
  • Understanding of trade detailing and design workflows, as well as advanced ability to read and understand 2D and 3D construction drawings and specifications.
  • Advanced understanding and training in 3D modeling software and experience with 4D scheduling software and planning tools.
