Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Paladin Security. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients and their properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service and assistance to clients and patrons, while maintaining effective relationships.
  • Conduct Proactive Patrols: Conduct proactive patrols to ensure safety and address policy breaches, and note any concerns.
  • Respond to Emergencies: Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
  • De-escalate Crisis Situations: De-escalate crisis situations, provide support, and liaise with emergency personnel, including police, fire, and paramedic resources.
  • Exercise Crowd Control: Exercise crowd control and evict trespassers.
  • Prepare Reports: Write clear and detailed reports, including incident, emergency, liability, and day-to-day reports.
  • Provide First Aid: Provide first aid and medical response when required to any person(s).
  • Communicate Effectively: Utilize two-way radios and computer applications to communicate site activities.
  • Handle Lost and Found: Handle Lost & Found items and inquires.
Requirements
  • Security License: Ability to obtain a valid Alberta security license.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills.
  • Observational Skills: Strong observational skills.
  • Decision-Making: Ability to make immediate decisions, while maintaining composure in emergency response situations with minimal supervision.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to walk 18/20km and stairs.
Education and Certification
  • High School Diploma: High School Diploma/GED.
  • Security License: Valid Security License.
  • Driver's License: An unrestricted class 5 drivers license is considered an asset.
