Casual Security Guard - Medicine Hat

At Paladin Security, we're committed to providing exceptional service and ensuring the safety of our clients and patrons. As a Casual Security Guard, you'll play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment and providing top-notch customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to clients and patrons, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Patrols and Security: Conduct proactive patrols to ensure safety and address policy breaches, noting any concerns.
  • Emergency Response: Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Crisis Management: De-escalate crisis situations, provide support, and liaise with emergency personnel, including police, fire, and paramedic resources.
  • Crowd Control: Exercise crowd control and evict trespassers.
  • Reporting: Write clear and detailed reports, including incident, emergency, liability, and day-to-day reports.
  • First Aid: Provide first aid and medical response when required to any person(s).
  • Communication: Utilize two-way radios and computer applications to communicate site activities.
  • Lost and Found: Handle Lost & Found items and inquiries.
Requirements:
  • Security License: Ability to obtain a valid Alberta security license.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills.
  • Observational Skills: Strong observational skills.
  • Decision-Making: Ability to make immediate decisions, while maintaining composure in emergency response situations with minimal supervision.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to walk 18/20km and stairs.
Education and Certification:
  • High School Diploma: High School Diploma/GED.
  • Security License: Valid Security License.
  • Driver's License: An unrestricted class 5 driver's license is considered an asset.

General Security Guards work in a variety of different settings. This job may be physically demanding due to the size of the buildings. This job requires applicants to be able to work both day and overnight shift rotations.
