Job Title: Bilingual Senior Deskside Support

Type: Contract - 3 months with potential for extension

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Deskside Support Technician to join our team in Montreal, QC. The successful candidate will provide technical support for internal IT requirements, working independently to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for IT Technical Services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform hardware break-fix services on PCs, laptops, network printers, and servers
  • Perform IMAC services, including hardware roll-outs, refreshes, and deployment activities
  • Provide desk-side support for hardware, software, and network-related issues
  • Handle software installation, support, and upgrades
  • Provide 3rd level Help Desk support and respond to calls from the National Dispatch/Call Management Center
  • Communicate with customers to diagnose problems, establish ETA, and parts requirements
Requirements
  • 5+ years of IMAC experience with hardware roll-outs, refreshes, and deployment activities
  • 5+ years of desk-side support experience
  • 5+ years of break-fix experience
  • 5+ years of internetworking experience
  • A+ certification and at least one certification from Cisco or Microsoft
  • Vendor certifications from OEMs (Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, HP)
  • Self-starter with ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to complete tasks effectively with minimal supervision
  • Bilingual in English and French
Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of IT Network architectures and infrastructures
  • Working knowledge of System Admin functions
  • Working knowledge of ticketing apps (BMC Remedy or other)
  • Working knowledge of Virtualized Server and workstation environments (VMWare & Microsoft HyperV)
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory
  • Working knowledge of 2008R2 Servers, ability to create DFS files
  • Working knowledge of switch technologies (Cisco)
  • Working knowledge of Exchange 2007
  • PC literacy and familiarity with MS WORD and EXCEL
