Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Accountant - Assurance to join our team in Hamilton. As a key member of our assurance team, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements and working papers for audit engagements, as well as preparing corporate and personal income tax returns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare financial statements and working papers for audit engagements, independently or under supervision
  • Prepare financial statements and working papers for review and compilation engagements
  • Prepare corporate and personal income tax returns
Requirements
  • 1-3 years' experience in a public accounting practice, preferably in an intermediate/senior role
  • Successful completion of CFE and/or CPA designation
  • Thorough understanding of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) and Canadian Auditing Standards (CAS)
  • Good understanding of and experience with Canadian income taxation
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
