About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Broadway's New Marine Family Restaurant & Bar. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Determine the size of food portions and costs, requisition food and kitchen supplies, and prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and ensure that all kitchen areas are clean and well-organized.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, and provide guidance and support to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and ensure that all food is presented in a visually appealing manner.
  • Quality Control: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
  • Work Environment: This is a fast-paced environment with overtime required, repetitive tasks, and standing for extended periods.
