Job Overview

The Market Planner - Acura plays a crucial role in driving sales initiatives by delivering comprehensive data analysis, insights, and strategic proposals for designated carlines. This position focuses on understanding competitive dynamics, industry trends, and identifying both risks and opportunities to fulfill the Acura sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate a deep understanding of the automotive sales landscape and competitive environment, utilizing various data sources to extract actionable insights.
  • Formulate recommendations for sales incentive programs aimed at achieving market share and sales targets.
  • Conduct monthly model gap analyses to pinpoint opportunities and devise effective countermeasures.
  • Prepare for monthly program meetings by evaluating sales performance and inventory turnover, leveraging market demand data, historical trends, and forecasting methodologies for assigned models.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Production Planning teams to ensure optimal product ordering and allocation to the dealer network.
  • Oversee and maintain reports on competitor payments and in-market offers on a monthly basis.
  • Develop sales plans for new models in collaboration with key stakeholders, including risk analysis for price increases and product launch strategies.
  • Design, implement, and assess CRM sales offer campaigns, documenting insights and applying corrective actions as necessary.
  • Manage departmental sales reporting and maintain accurate records.
  • Process Dealer Exception Requests and payments as needed.
  • Undertake additional departmental responsibilities as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • A post-secondary degree is mandatory.
  • 1-2 years of experience in the automotive sector is preferred.
  • Proven planning and organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment with multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on collaborative relationships and results-driven outcomes.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel functions (e.g., vlookups, pivot tables).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to foster and maintain positive working relationships with team members and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to teamwork and shared success.
