Truck Driver Position Overview

AK Transit is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer and transporting goods across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to clients and colleagues, ensuring a positive experience for all interactions.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other drivers and support staff to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, and perform necessary repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Logistics and Planning: Plan and execute routes to ensure timely delivery of goods, while also considering factors such as traffic, weather, and road conditions.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of cargo details, service hours, distance, and fuel use, as well as complete trip reports and other necessary documentation.
