Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at Trans Expert Freight System Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and Drive Trucks: Safely operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Emergency Repairs: Perform emergency roadside repairs as needed.
  • Inspections: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Record Keeping: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Certifications and Licenses:
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
Work Environment:
  • Willing to travel internationally
  • Willing to travel overnight
Experience:
  • 1 to less than 7 months
  • Permanent position
  • English language
  • 40 hours per week
