About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team at Okema Enterprises LTD. As a key member of our landscape maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Weed, Prune, and Trim Trees and Plants: Utilize your knowledge of horticulture to maintain the health and appearance of our trees and plants.
  • Cut Grass and Maintain Lawns: Ensure our lawns are well-manicured and maintained to the highest standards.
  • Rake and Collect Refuse: Keep our outdoor spaces clean and free of debris.
  • Remove Litter and Garbage: Maintain a clean and safe environment for our team and visitors.
  • Cart and Spread Topsoil and Other Materials: Assist in the preparation and maintenance of our outdoor spaces.
  • Lay Sod or Seed: Help to establish new lawns and gardens.
  • Plant Bulbs, Flowers, Shrubs, and Trees: Enhance the beauty and biodiversity of our outdoor spaces.
  • Repair and Maintain Equipment: Ensure our equipment is in good working order to maintain efficiency and productivity.
  • Water and Tend to Plants, Lawns, and/or Gardens: Provide the necessary care and attention to our outdoor spaces.
  • Operate and Maintain Landscape Maintenance Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate a range of equipment to maintain our outdoor spaces.
  • Tree Removal: Safely remove trees and branches to maintain the health and appearance of our outdoor spaces.
Requirements
  • Steel-Toed Safety Boots: Ensure your safety and the safety of others while working outdoors.
  • Safety Glasses/Goggles: Protect your eyes from debris and other hazards.
  • Gloves: Prevent injury and maintain hand health while working with equipment and materials.
  • Ear Plugs: Protect your hearing in loud work environments.
