Your responsibilities will encompass various phases of automation and control initiatives, including: electrical design, PLC programming, HMI and SCADA development, as well as networking design and troubleshooting/testing/debugging.Provide specialized technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Ensure an outstanding customer experience by collaborating with clients and project managers to deliver project updates, respond to service requests, participate in client meetings, and share your technical knowledge.
Take part in strategic planning sessions with the Branch and Business Development Manager to identify new proposal opportunities, draft proposals, and engage in client negotiations.
Candidates should possess a degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, Systems Design, or an equivalent technical qualification.
~ 7 years of relevant experience is preferred.
~ Familiarity with Siemens, Schneider, Emerson is advantageous.
~ Experience in script programming is beneficial.
~ Proficiency in HMI/SCADA Programming (Wonderware System Platform, Ignition, PanelView) along with network architecture design and the ability to debug, test, and commission systems.
~ Knowledge of various communication networks is essential.
~ Fundamental skills in field troubleshooting, installation, and support are required.
~ A solid understanding of control system schematics and diagrams is necessary.
~ Experience in the Food and Beverage sector is a plus.
Travel Requirements: Automation Controls Interns at JMP should be prepared for travel within North America, averaging about 30% annually.
