Job Title: Automation and Controls Specialist

Unilever is seeking an experienced Automation and Controls Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems in our manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement automated systems, including PLC programming, HMI development, and process instrumentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing automated systems.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for automated systems, including electrical and control schematics.
  • Work closely with site engineering manager to ensure compliance with Unilever standards and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in industrial manufacturing, preferably in a food environment.
  • Strong experience with Rockwell software, Factory Talk View, and Allen-Bradley VFD.
  • Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code, CUL, and CSA requirements.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
