Job Summary

The City of Brampton is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Inclusion and Integration to lead our Community Services department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing high-quality programs that promote inclusion and integration for all participants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Implementation
    • Develop and implement programs that promote inclusion and integration for individuals with disabilities or exceptionalities
    • Collaborate with staff to ensure program quality and safety
  • Staff Supervision and Training
    • Supervise and coach staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality programs
    • Develop and deliver staff training and meetings to promote professional development
  • Participant Support and Services
    • Provide support and services to participants and their families to ensure a positive program experience
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services
  • Administrative Duties
    • Complete administrative tasks such as staff and program schedules, incident reports, and medication logs
    • Monitor equipment and supplies, and conduct inventory counts as needed
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Minimum 1 year supervisory experience
    • Minimum 2 years experience working with individuals with disabilities or exceptionalities
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
    • Valid Ontario driver's license and full-time use of a vehicle
    • Current Standard First Aid/CPR C certification or ability to obtain within 1 month of date of hire
