About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Business Development Representative to join our team at Lock Search Group. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and targeting potential clients throughout North America, conducting market research, and engaging prospects through various channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and target potential clients in the logistics and supply chain industry
  • Conduct market research and analyze industry trends
  • Engage prospects through various channels, including retail, e-commerce, and fulfillment
  • Secure meetings to sell 3PL and warehousing services on value
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for client discovery and service scoping
  • Prepare and respond to RFQ/RFP processes
  • Assist with competitive proposals and negotiations, and prepare finalized contracts
  • Set and achieve sales targets
  • Develop a sales pipeline of warehousing and fulfillment leads
  • Monitor market trends and competitive landscape
  • Analyze existing client base for growth opportunities, and develop strategic plans to expand the customer base
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in business development or sales leadership within the logistics and supply chain industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, exceptional negotiation abilities, and a results-oriented mindset
  • Proactive approach to accountability, excellent organizational skills, and strong analytical abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
  • A strong familiarity with creating and presenting KPIs internally to the executive team
  • Previous experience in the selection, implementation, and utilization of a CRM
  • A familiarity with ICP definition, personas, building and iterating on a sales playbook
  • Experience leading direct reports, coaching, and team mentorship is highly desirable
